Bajaj Auto reports 5% growth in February sales

Bajaj Auto, the country's second largest two-wheeler maker’s monthly sales for February 2012 rose by 5% at 3,43,777 units against 3,26,874 in the same last year. The exports for the month rose 20% and the numbers of units sold were 1,22,727 units against 1,02,433 in the same period last year.

The company has posted a 19.19% rise in net profit at Rs 795 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2011 against Rs 667 crore for the same period last year. It has reported revenues at Rs 4,840 crore for the quarter under review up by 21.61% against Rs 3,980 for the same quarter a year ago.
