Hero MotoCorp gains on plan to set up manufacturing plant in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 2350.00, up by 2.25 points or 0.10 % from its previous closing of Rs. 2347.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2347.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2363.00 and Rs. 2300.05 respectively. So far 68673 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3271.80 on 01-Dec-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2252.00 on 08-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2369.80 and Rs. 2259.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 47135.24 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.64 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 51.89 % and 13.47 % respectively.

Hero MotoCorp is planning to set up manufacturing plant in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil as part of its global expansion drive. Moreover, the company is expecting to utilise the new Colombian facility as a hub to export to nearby countries.

Further, the company’s global manufacturing facility at Villa Rica in Colombia, entailing a project investment of $70 million, became operational this week. Following the commencement of operations at Colombia plant, the company has become the first Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to set-up a manufacturing unit in Latin America.
