Tata Power receives three national awards at 16th CII National Award

Tata Power's Trombay Thermal Power Station has been honoured in two prominent categories for the third consecutive time at the 16th CII National Award for Energy Management 2015. These categories include ‘excellent energy efficient unit’ and ‘most useful presentation’. Tata Power’s Haldia plant has also been awarded in the ‘energy efficient unit’ category. The awards ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Dr Ajay Mathur, director general, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).

Trombay Thermal Power Station was awarded the ‘excellent energy efficient unit’ for its strong commitment to the environment which addresses various aspects of resource conservation, energy efficiency, carbon footprint, renewable power generation and biodiversity. Of the 264 nominated companies in the category, 127 companies were shortlisted and requested to give a presentation. A panel of 37 respectable judges from various sectors adjudged Tata Power as the winner in this category. The plant also won an award in the ‘most useful presentation’ category, which was adjudged by all the participants in the competition.
