Steel Strips Wheels rises on reporting 34% increase in February sales

Steel Strips Wheels is currently trading at Rs. 234.00, up by 1.30 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 232.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 234.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 234.80 and Rs. 230.05 respectively. So far 2420 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 339.95 on 05-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 162.00 on 24-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 239.75 and Rs. 212.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 344.96 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.48% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.74% and 44.78% respectively.

Steel Strips Wheels has reported 34% growth in February 2012 sales at Rs. 8429.31 lakh against Rs. 6272.93 lakh in February 2011. The gross sale of the company has also increased to 9222.93 lakh in February, 2012 as against Rs. 6869.63 lakh in February, 2011, recording a growth of 34%.

Further, the company has recorded sale of 8.40 lakh wheel rims during the month of February, 2012 as against 8.42 lakh wheel rims during the month of February, 2011.

The company is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors.
