Public sector lender, Andhra Bank has inaugurated its 2600th branch at Yadgirigutta and 3000th ATM at Sunshine Hospital in Secunderabad. The bank has added 100 branches in current financial year and plans to add over 300 branches by March 2016.
The bank has 43% of the branches are in semi-uban/rural areas and 231 of the branches are in unbanked rural centres.
Andhra Bank has reported 89.27% rise in its net profit at Rs 202.52 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 107.00 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 7.71% at Rs 4529.23 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4205.06 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.
