Reliance Infrastructure leads the gainer list of ‘BSE 100’ space

Reliance Infrastructure is currently trading at Rs. 659.00, up by 37.15 points or 5.97% from its previous closing of Rs. 621.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 623.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 673.50 and Rs. 623.05 respectively. So far 11,87,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 710.00 on 01-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 328.35 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 673.50 and Rs. 534.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17,450.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 48.51% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.49% and 15.28% respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure has reported consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 408 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2011, marginally up from Rs 405 crore in the same period last fiscal. The company reported higher sales and higher income from contract and infrastructure business.

The net sales went up by 20% to Rs 3,103 crore from Rs 2,580 crore for the October-December quarter of the last financial year.

However, the other operating income came down by 57.8% to Rs 1.60 crore against Rs 3.80 crore in the comparable period.

Reliance Infrastructure has a presence across the value chain of the power business -- generation, transmission, distribution, EPC and trading. It develops projects in all high growth areas in the infrastructure sector, namely roads, highways, metro rails, airports and speciality real estate.
