Reliance Infrastructure’s Mumbai Transmission Division has successfully commissioned its new transmission link on Maharashtra State Transmission Company (MSETCL) Boisar - Borivali Transmission line that brings power to Mumbai from outskirts of the city.
The new 220kV Loop in Loop out (LILO) line, constructed near Ghodbunder, was successfully charged by the transmission utilities on February 14, 2012 and was taken into service on the same day.
With this, Mumbai will have additional 150MW power from city’s outskirts, as it will ease congestion on city’s transmission network, especially during summer seasons, when the power demand is at its peak. The company has successfully commissioned the new line ahead of schedule, as against its original commissioning schedule in March 2012.
Reliance Infrastructure has a presence across the value chain of the power business -- generation, transmission, distribution, EPC and trading. It develops projects in all high growth areas in the infrastructure sector, namely roads, highways, metro rails, airports and speciality real estate.
