IRB Infrastructure Developers has emerged as the lowest bidder to four-lane a 102-km stretch of the Pathankot - Amritsar section of National Highway-15, on a build-operate-transfer basis. The contract awarded by the NHAI is based on the design, build, finance, operate and transfer pattern and estimated to cost Rs 1,200 crore.

 

IRB Infra gets a concession period of 20 years and the company has sought a grant of Rs 126.9 crore as viability gap fund from NHAI. The construction period is 910 days. The project is part of the National Highway Development Programme IIIB.

 

Early this week, IRB bagged a contract to four-lane 65 km of the NH-4A – from the Karnataka-Goa border to Panaji. The BOT project, under the NHDP phase III, is estimated at Rs 800 crore. The company has sought Rs 186.30 crore as viability gap fund for the work.
