Public sector lender, Andhra Bank has opened a Nextgen branch under ‘Navasakhti’ project of the Bank at East Point Colony in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This new branch will have e-banking, transaction, and personal banking zones. It will also have cash recycler machine that allows for deposits and withdrawals, and passbook kiosk at which customers can update passbooks.
Further, the bank is planning to add 600 officers and 1,600 clerical staff to its rolls this year. Of which, 400 officers have joined and 1,300 clerical staff are in the process of joining. The bank also planning to add 450 new branches, all of which will be NextGen branches, during this fiscal.
