Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised stake in Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) by 257 basis points to 35.56 percent in Q2FY16 from 32.99 percent in Q1FY16. However, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have reduced shareholding in the company by 336 basis points to 19.34 percent at the end of September 2015 quarter from 22.7 percent as on June 30, 2015.
Meanwhile, non institutions were holding 13.79 percent stake in the company at the end of September 2015 quarter, up 67 basis points from 13.12 percent as on June 30, 2015, while corporate bodies were holding 5.23 percent stake at the end of September 2015 quarter, up 44 basis points from 4.79 percent as on June 30, 2015.
Further, the promoters have reduced shareholding by 3 basis points to 25.56 percent at the end of September 2015 quarter from 25.59 percent as on June 30, 2015. The foreign promoters’ shareholding was unchanged at 0.09 percent at the end of September 2015.
