Bajaj Auto surges on reporting 58% rise in Q2 net profit

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2547.05, up by 28.80 points or 1.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 2518.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2535.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2564.00 and Rs. 2509.00 respectively. So far 15253 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2690.00 on 24-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1913.80 on 30-Apr-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2564.00 and Rs. 2403.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 73788.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.29% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.89% and 24.81% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has posted a rise of 57.90% in its net profit at Rs 933.06 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 590.9 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 2.86% at Rs 6250.42 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 6076.7 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
