Jet Airways and Kingfisher airlines to incentivise foreign tourist arrivals

Ministry of Tourism has launched a “Visit India 2009” scheme for the period from April to December 2009.  Foreign tourists arriving during this period would be offered various value additions including (a) complementary international air passage for traveling companion (b) one night complementary stay in the hotel booked by the tourist (c) one complimentary local sightseeing tour in any one city of visit and (d) one complementary rural eco holiday in India.

 

The scheme would work on the concept of providing one additional or complementary service to the tourist for every service paid for.  Air India, Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines are major airline partners.   Similarly, all member hotels of the Hotel Association of India will offer one complementary night stay in hotel booked by tourist while the members of the Indian association of tour operators recognized by the Ministry of tourism will offer one complementary local sightseeing tour in any one of the cities included in the itinery of the tourist.
