NTPC to start commercial operation of 500 MW unit of VSTPS

NTPC will commence commercial operation of 500 MW unit of Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station (VSTPS) on October 30, 2015. With this, the total commercial capacity of Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station, NTPC and NTPC group will be 4,760 MW, 38442 MW and 44443 MW respectively. Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station will also become largest operating power station in the India.

NTPC is the largest power generating company in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
