Polaris Consulting surges on plan to sell BPO business

Polaris Consulting & Services is currently trading at Rs. 196.75, up by 3.00 points or 1.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 193.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 199.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 200.90 and Rs. 195.55 respectively. So far 90385 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 224.90 on 05-Dec-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 132.70 on 10-Feb-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 203.80 and Rs. 191.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1967.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 28.92% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.81% and 50.27% respectively.

Polaris Consulting & Services (Polaris Consulting) is planning to sell its BPO business, which employs over 1000 people. The company has received an in-principle approval from the Board for hiving off the BPO business. It will not be hived-off as a Polaris subsidiary but sold to a third party. A sub-committee will be formed and an advisor will be appointed soon to carry out the sale.
