Sadbhav Engg bags Rs 1,571 crore Maharashtra check-post project.

Diversified engineering company Sadbhav Engineering Ltd, with other consortium partners, has been awarded the Rs 1,571-crore project for modernisation and computerisation of 22 integrated border check posts by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd.

The project involves setting up 22 posts along border areas, with latest security equipment, on build, operate and transfer basis. The company along with SREI Group would be the main players for the project. A joint venture known as ‘Sadbhav - Srei - Srei Sahaj Consortium’ holding in the ratio of 51:39:10, respectively, would be implementing the project. The concession period of the project is 24.6 years, which is inclusive of construction period of 18 months.

Objectives of the project are to stream line transportation activities, coordinate and monitor various activities related to check post, increase the revenue for the State Government and to increase the efficiency of law enforcement agencies. The project involves setting up three mega, two big, seven medium and 10 small check posts on 30 National and State highways in Maharashtra. crackcrack
