Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2015.
The company has reported 7.64% rise in its net profit at Rs 1619.19 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 1504.3 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 16.94% to Rs 5924.73 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5066.27 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
