Central Bank of India strengthens on reporting 10% rise in Q2 net profit

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 69.05, up by 1.60 points or 2.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 67.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 66.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 69.90 and Rs. 66.80 respectively. So far 66633 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 121.00 on 24-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 60.10 on 26-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 72.00 and Rs. 65.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11475.25 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.46% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.65% and 4.89% respectively.

The bank has reported 9.68% rise in its net profit at Rs 112.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 102.91 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The bank’s total income has increased by 1.18% to Rs 7104.19 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 7021.1 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) of the bank have increased to 6.86% for the quarter as against 6.14% in the same quarter previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA stood at 3.83% in Q2FY16.
