Maruti Suzuki adds safety features in Swift, DZire models

25 Nov 2015 Evaluate

Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL), the largest passenger cars maker in India, will be offering dual airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) as an option in all variants of Swift and DZire, including the base variant. Together, Swift and Dzire have handsomely contributed towards enhancing Maruti Suzuki’s market share in the Indian passenger vehicle market. The cars are known for contemporary styling, superior comfort, convenience features and performance. By offering driver and co-driver airbags and ABS across all variants of Swift and DZire, the company wants to further strengthen their popularity among customers.

The iconic Swift has been a bestseller through the decade, surpassing its own records year after year. Swift's attitude, performance and sporty looks have ensured it stays on top, undistracted by competition. On the other hand, DZire, launched in 2008, has been India's best-selling entry sedan for the last three years. A category leader, DZire has helped Maruti Suzuki to strengthen its presence in the entry sedan segment. It is the only sedan in the top five in India’s passenger vehicle market.

Maruti Suzuki India, country’s largest car maker, has registered a rise of 29.10% in its total car sales (Domestic + Export) for the month of October 2015 at 134,209 units, as against 103,973 units in 2014. The company’s domestic sales rose by 24.7% in October 2015 at 121,063 units, as against 97,069 units in corresponding month last year.
