Gati’s arm commissions 1MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plant

Amrit Jal Ventures, a power development arm owned by the promoters of Hyderabad-based logistics company Gati, has commissioned its 1MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plant at Kadiri in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The company has commissioned it on March 07, 2012.

The project was allotted to the company under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission and has been developed by SunVolt Energy. The company has invested close to Rs 17 crore in this venture.

Gati is a leading player in express distribution and logistics and operates through two divisions - Express Distribution & Supply Chain (EDSC) and Coast- to-Coast (C2C) division.
