Bajaj Auto reports marginal rise in November sales

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer has registered a marginal rise of 0.13% in total sales to 309673 units in November 2015 against 309259 units in November 2014. The sales of the motorcycles increased by 3% and stood at 270,886 units in the month under review against 261,948 units in November 2014. However, the company has reported 18% fall in Commercial Vehicles sales, which stood at 38,787 units as compared to 47,311 units in month of November 2014. The company’s total exports out of the above stood at 137,315 units, a drop of 17% as compared to 165,733 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
