TVS Motor Company has registered a rise of 2.43% in total sales to 225,401 units in November 2015 against 220,046 units in November 2014. Incessant rains for the past three weeks in Chennai have had an adverse effect on company's production during this period. The company suffered sales loss of around 15,000 units of due to the inclement weather. The company's total exports registered sales of 33,621 units in the month of November 2015 as against 39,215 units in November 2014. Two wheeler exports recorded sales of 27,216 units in the month of November 2015 as against 31,526 units in the month of November 2014.
Total two wheeler recorded sales of 217,706 units in the month of November 2015 as compared to 210,979 units recorded in the month of November 2014. Domestic two wheeler sales grew by 6% increasing from 179,453 units in November 2014 to 190,490 units in November 2015. Scooters sales of the company grew by 22% increasing from 62,223 units in the month of November 2014 to 76,043 units in the month of November 2015. Motorcycles sales stood at 82,163 units in November 2015, as compared to 86,424 units in the month of November 2014.
The company sold 7,695 units of three wheelers in the month of November 2015 as against 9,067 units recorded in the month of November 2014.
