Kotak Bank acquires 9.99% stake in IiAS

Kotak Mahindra Bank (KMB) has acquired 10,00,000 equity shares at Rs 10 each aggregating to Rs 1 crore being 9.99% of the paid-up capital of Institutional investor Advisory Services India (IiAS) on January 01, 2016.

IiAS is a proxy advisory firm that provides investors in the Indian market with independent opinion, research and data on issues relating to corporate governance and also recommendations about how they should vote on resolutions by companies put up to shareholders for voting.

Kotak Mahindra Bank has a significant national footprint of 1,261 branches and 1,939 ATMs spread across 641 locations, affording it the capacity and means to serve even better. The bank has three Strategic Business Units catering to retail and corporate customers across urban and rural India.
