Andhra Bank rises on launching Immediate Payment Service

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 63.65, up by 0.15 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 63.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 63.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 64.05 and Rs. 63.00 respectively. So far 46937 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 96.40 on 15-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.35 on 10-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 66.75 and Rs. 62.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4155.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.97% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.62% and 15.41% respectively.

In a bid to provide inter-bank electronic transfer service, capable of processing person to account remittances, Andhra Bank has launched Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) across branches.

IMPS is a multi-channel and multi-dimensional platform that makes payments possible within fraction of seconds with all the standards and integrity maintained for security. Each transaction will have a maximum cap of Rs 2 lakh and charged at the rate of Rs 5 per transaction.
