Maithon Power -- a joint venture between the Tata Power's Maithon Power (MPL), the company's 74:26 joint venture with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), was awarded the National Safety Council 'Prashansa Patra Award' in manufacturing sector (power generation) for 2015.
The National Safety Council Award recognizes industrial undertakings for their consistent and meritorious Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Performance and implementing effective OSH management systems, practices and procedures and to encourage their continual commitment to OSH. MPL was honoured with the Prashansa Patra Award for implementing and following the best safety practices at the plant.
