Adani Power to invest Rs 11,500 crore in Udupi Power Corporation

Adani Power is set to expand the capacity of Udupi Power Corporation (UPCL) to 2,800 MW from the present 1,200 MW at an estimated investment of Rs 11,500 crore. The company has acquired UPCL from Lanco Infratech early last year at an enterprise valuation of Rs 6,300 crore. The company is also planning to set up two more units of 800 MW each near Udupi to raise capacity.

Adani Power is engaged in the business of generation, accumulation, distribution and supply of power and to generally deal in electricity and to explore, develop, generate, accumulate, supply and distribute or to deal in other forms of energy from any source whatsoever.
