SBI rises on foraying into wealth management space

State Bank of India (SBI) is currently trading at Rs. 196.75, up by 0.95 points or 0.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 195.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 197.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 198.00 and Rs. 196.25 respectively. So far 245451 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 335.90 on 28-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 194.10 on 13-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 212.55 and Rs. 194.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 151995.17 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.18% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.73% and 9.09% respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI) has forayed into the wealth management space and also launched a dedicated branch for start-ups in India’s technology capital Bengaluru. ‘SBI Exclusif’, the wealth management offering, is targeted at high net worth individuals (HNIs) and aspiring HNIs.

The bank has adopted a multi-channel approach to offer wealth management service. SBI Exclusif customers will have access to dedicated relationship manager to take care of all their banking and investment needs.
