HDFC Bank strengthens on reporting 20% jump in Q3 net profit

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1039.70, up by 9.40 points or 0.91 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1030.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1035.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1046.80 and Rs. 1033.25 respectively. So far 105476 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1127.90 on 21-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 944.70 on 07-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1043.00 and Rs. 1008.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 262533.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 21.06 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.57 % and 21.37 % respectively.

HDFC Bank has registered a rise of 20.12% in its net profit at Rs 3356.84 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 2794.51 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased 22.45% at Rs 18283.31 crore for Q3FY16 as compared Rs 14930.74 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) improved to 0.97% in the October- December quarter as against 0.99% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs stood at 0.29%.
