Neyveli Lignite drops as Q3 net tumbles 85%

Neyveli Lignite Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 72.05, down by 3.65 points or 4.82% from its previous closing of Rs. 75.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 73.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 74.05 and Rs. 71.20 respectively. So far 21339 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 94.25 on 07-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 65.25 on 27-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 76.00 and Rs. 71.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12087.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 90.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.43% and 1.57% respectively.

The company has reported 84.62% fall in its net profit at Rs 47.61 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 309.47 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 17.09% to Rs 1410.80 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1701.53 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Neyveli Lignite Corporation is engaged in the business of lignite mining and power generation. At present, the company has four opencast lignite mines.
