Borosil Glass Works rises on acquiring 100% stake in Hopewell Tablewar

Borosil Glass Works is currently trading at Rs. 2375.00, up by 12.00 points or 0.51% from its previous closing of Rs. 2363.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2395.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2400.00 and Rs. 2360.00 respectively. So far 253 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2989.00 on 10-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1480.00 on 12-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2365.00 and Rs. 2320.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 709.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.18 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.03 % and 25.79 % respectively.

Borosil Glass Works along with its nominee has acquired 100% equity shares of Hopewell Tableware along with all its assets & liabilities and consequent to such acquisition, Hopewell Tableware has become an unlisted wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) of the company with effect from January 28, 2016.

The company had earlier on January 14, 2016, received an approval for entering into a Share Purchase Agreement, as per which the company will acquire entire 100% equity shares of Hopewell Tableware for Rs 27.03 crore.

Borosil Glass Works is the market leader for laboratory glassware and microwavable kitchenware in India.
