Marico strengthens on reporting 24% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Marico is currently trading at Rs 224.65, up by 2.55 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 222.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 226.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 231.00 and Rs. 221.45 respectively. So far 123879 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 234.20 on 21-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs 169.50 on 03-Feb-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 224.00 and Rs 207.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 29183.67 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.67% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.36% and 8.66% respectively.

Marico has reported 79.64% rise in its net profit at Rs 236.87 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 131.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 12.43% to Rs 1350.88 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1201.49 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.  

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 23.72% rise in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit / (loss) of associates at Rs 197.80  crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 159.88 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 7.58% at Rs 1573.36 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1462.53 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.
