Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has reported 12% growth in its total wheel rim sales to 11.28 lakh as compared to 10.03 lakh in January 2015. In terms of Value, the company has achieved gross turnover of Rs 112.96 crore in January 2016 as compared to Rs 103.33 crore in January 2015, recording a growth of 9.32% and achieved a Net turnover of Rs 101.81 crore in January 2016 as against Rs 93.30 crore in January 2015, recorded a growth of 9.1%. The company’s export surged 33% YoY in January 2016.
In segmental growth, the company’s Passenger car segment grew by 8% in January 2016 year on year (YoY), while the company’s LCV & MHCV segment volumes grew by 36% YoY in January 2016. Furthermore, the company’s domestic Tractor segment volumes grew by 8% in January 2016YoY.
SSWL is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors. It supplies rims to almost all major manufacturers of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers, tractors and heavy commercial vehicle.
