Nippo Batteries trades in green on the BSE

Nippo Batteries is currently trading at Rs. 406.00, up by 13.55 points or 3.45% from its previous closing of Rs. 392.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 400.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 409.00 and Rs. 398.00 respectively. So far 1255 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 490.00 on 08-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 353.10 on 22-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 422.00 and Rs. 387.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 150.75 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.90% while Non-Institutions held 25.09%.  Credit rating agency, CRISIL has reaffirmed AA rating with stable outlook to long term bank facilities of Nippo Batteries Company. The rating agency has also reaffirmed A1+ rating to short term bank facilities of the company.

The ratings on the bank facilities of the company continue to reflect Nippo’s established market position and strong brand image in the dry cell industry; wide and established distribution network; and strong financial risk profile marked by low gearing and healthy debt protection metrics.

Based in Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Nippo manufactures and sells dry cells. It also trades in torches, emergency power back-up range of products and compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) bulbs. Nippo also has windmills with a total capacity of 4.5 megawatt (MW).
