Andhra Bank trades higher on the bourses

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 52.30, up by 0.75 points or 1.45% from its previous closing of Rs. 51.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 51.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 52.35 and Rs. 51.30 respectively. So far 47486 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 94.95 on 02-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 49.15 on 20-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 53.90 and Rs. 50.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3382.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.97% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.73% and 15.29% respectively.

Public sector lender, Andhra Bank has opened its new branch at MMDA Colony in Padmanabha Nagar, taking the total number of bank branches to 102 in Chennai zone. Recently, the bank has launched Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) at all its branches in association with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

Andhra Bank has reported 73.89% rise in its net profit at Rs 251.26 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 144.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The bank’s total income has increased by 7.25% to Rs 4744.16 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 4423.62 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
