Cummins India rises despite reporting marginal fall in Q3 net profit

Cummins India is currently trading at Rs. 906.00, up by 10.10 points or 1.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 895.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 898.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 912.00 and Rs. 893.00 respectively. So far 2,744 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1246.70 on 07-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 828.80 on 26-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 967.40 and Rs. 876.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25,114.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.93% and 14.07% respectively.

The company has reported 1.47% fall in its net profit at Rs 178.35 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 181.02 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has increased by 7.05% to Rs 1203.44 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1124.23 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Comprising of four business units - Industrial Engine, Power Generation, Distribution, and Automotive, Cummins India Limited is also the largest entity of the Cummins Group in India.
