Tata Power surges on synchronizing 67.5 MW Unit 1 of its 202.5 MW IEL Kalinganagar-Orissa project

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 59.25, up by 2.15 points or 3.77% from its previous closing of Rs. 57.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 58.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 59.70 and Rs. 57.25 respectively. So far 329990 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 91.90 on 04-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 55.55 on 07-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 61.35 and Rs. 56.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 15740.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.02% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 50.96% and 16.01% respectively.

Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company, through its joint venture company Industrial Energy (IEL), has synchronized the 67.5 MW Unit 1 of its 3 x 67.5 MW IEL Kalinganagar project. These units are designed to cater to the requirement of LP steam, which is supplied to Tata Steel, which got commissioned from December, 2015. The IEL Kalinganagar project is the 2nd unit of IEL after PH #6 IEL Jamshedpur based on the mixture of BFG, COG, and LDG, which is environment friendly and efficient.
