Neyveli Lignite trades higher on the bourses

Neyveli Lignite Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 70.70, up by 0.30 points or 0.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 70.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 70.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 70.90 and Rs. 69.60 respectively. So far 2830 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 94.25 on 07-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 65.25 on 27-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 72.60 and Rs. 69.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11794.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 90.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.43% and 1.57% respectively.

State-run Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has proposed to set up a 50 MW solar power plant at an estimated cost of about Rs 370.60 crore in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The company has also proposed to install solar power plants in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with a total capacity of 4,000 MW.

Neyveli Lignite Corporation is engaged in the business of lignite mining and power generation. At present, the company has four opencast lignite mines.
