Rural Electrification Corporation has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2015.
The company has reported 0.47% fall in its net profit at Rs 1369.86 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 1376.28 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has increased by 15.12% to Rs 6037.45 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5244.32 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
