NHPC plans to provide construction management consultancy services

NHPC is looking to provide construction management consultancy and operations and management services to stalled private sector projects for a charge. The company has been offered three projects in Sikkim, one in Madhya Pradesh and three projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

The company is in talks with the Sikkim Government on the projects in the North-Eastern State. The three projects are a 520-MW project of Lanco Group, a 320-MW project of Nagarjuna Power and 120-MW project of the Jaypee Group. For Arunachal Pradesh, the projects are owned by Jindal Power. The discussions are in preliminary stage.

NHPC is an Indian Hydro Power Generation company that was incorporated with an objective to plan, promote and organize an integrated and efficient development of hydroelectric power in all aspects.
