Gayatri Projects soars on decision to invest in GHHL

Gayatri Projects is currently trading at Rs. 561.50, up by 15.20 points or 2.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 546.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 564.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 573.50 and Rs. 555.00 respectively. So far 7401 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 769.20 on 24-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 136.20 on 26-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 573.50 and Rs. 482.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1985.40 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 47.48% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.48% and 11.04% respectively.

Gayatri Projects has decided to invest in redeemable preference shares issued by Gayatri Hi-Tech Hotels (GHHL) in lieu of outstanding EPC receivables of Rs 235 crore from the latter.

The GHHL EPC contract had helped the company gain mileage with clients showcasing its ability to build high-end commercial buildings in addition to its core road, irrigation and industrial construction prowess.

Gayatri Projects is a Hyderabad-based infrastructure and construction company with a presence across the segment, primarily undertaking road and irrigation projects.
