Hero MotoCorp reports 13.6% growth in February sales

02 Mar 2016 Evaluate

Hero MotoCorp (HMCL), the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, continues to further consolidate its leadership position in 2016 with a strong sales performance in February. Bucking the sluggish industry trend, HMCL has sold 5,50,992 units of two-wheeler in February 2016, as compared to 484,769 units in the corresponding month last year, reflecting a robust double digit growth of 13.6%.

These numbers have been possible in spite of the production at the company’s manufacturing facilities at Gurgaon and Dharuhera in Haryana and at Neemrana in Rajasthan being impacted for a few days due to the local agitations in the region during the month. Through relentless effort, the company made up for the lost days when despatches from these plants were affected due to the blockade of the national highways and other roads.

Hero Motocorp, formerly Hero Honda, is an Indian motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in New Delhi, India. It sells products under the brand names such as Karizma ZMR, Splender, Xteme, Hunk, Impulse, Achiever, Ignitor, Glamour, Passion Pro, Maestro and Pleasure etc.
