CMI completes acquisition of General Cables Energy India

CMI has completed acquisition of General Cables Energy India -- a wholly-owned subsidiary company of General Cable Corporation (GCC), having manufacturing facilities located at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Post the acquisition, General Cables Energy India has become wholly owned subsidiary of CMI. A total outlay of Rs 150 crore has been earmarked for the project, which will be financed by a mix of debt and equity.

CMI was initially engaged in Copper Metal Trade and Copper melting and rod casting and later diversified into cable business.
