Apollo Tyres rises on entering into two-wheeler tyre segment

Apollo Tyres is currently trading at Rs 173.00, up by 2.65 points or 1.56% from its previous closing of Rs 170.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 172.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 174.90 and Rs 171.80 respectively. So far 78778 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 223.30 on 05-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 127.95 on 20-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 171.60 and Rs. 152.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8806.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.15%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.30% and 14.55% respectively.

Apollo Tyres has entered into the two-wheeler tyre segment with the launch of 'Acti' series. Designed and developed at the company's global R&D centre in Chennai, the Apollo Acti series for bikes and scooters would cover nearly 85 percent of the replacement market for two-wheeler tyres in India.

The tyres will be available both in the tubeless and normal radial forms. The range of two-wheeler tyres from the company will be available at Apollo's authorised sales channel across the country.
