Indian Hotels Company trades higher on the bourses

The Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 98.80, up by 0.40 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 98.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 98.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 99.30 and Rs. 98.40 respectively. So far 4520 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 124.80 on 12-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.75 on 07-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 101.50 and Rs. 96.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7985.91 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.53% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.95% and 21.50% respectively.

Indian Hotels Company’s overseas arm Samsara Properties has sold over 12.7 lakh shares of Belmond for a consideration of $11.96 million (over Rs 82 crore) to pare debt. The sale proceeds are being utilised for retirement of debt.

Belmond has a collection of 46 hotel, river cruise, safari and luxury rail businesses in 23 countries.

Indian Hotels company (IHCL) and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and recognized as one of Asia's largest and finest hotel company. It operates in the luxury, premium, mid-market and value segments of the market.
