Reliance Power rises as its arm gets permission from Ministry of Coal to produce additional coal

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 46.75, up by 0.75 points or 1.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 46.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 46.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 46.90 and Rs. 46.15 respectively. So far 436668 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 62.80 on 15-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 33.05 on 25-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 47.60 and Rs. 44.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13043.84 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.98% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.53% and 14.16% respectively.

Reliance Power's wholly owned subsidiary -- Sasan Power has been accorded permission from the Ministry of Coal to mine 17.20 million tonne from its Moher and Moher Amlohri Extension coal mines in 2015-16. Last year, the ministry had asked the company to restrict the mining from the coal blocks to 16 million tonne.

Reliance Power is a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and is established to develop, construct and operate power projects domestically and internationally.
