BF Utilities gains on acquiring 100% stake in Avichal Resources

BF Utilities is currently trading at Rs. 588.00, up by 1.30 points or 0.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 586.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 591.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 598.00 and Rs. 586.45 respectively. So far 1,16,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 872.00 on 13-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 389.85 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 614.00 and Rs. 558.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2,213.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.66% and 33.70% respectively.

BF Utilities has acquired 100% shareholding in Avichal Resources (Avichal). With this acquisition, Avichal has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. Avichal is the owner of land required for the company’s existing Wind Farm located at District - Satara. With the acquisition of Avichal, the company has strengthened its Wind Farm assets.

BF Utilities is engaged in power generation through wind mill technology. The company was set up to satiate the power requirements of the Kalyani Group companies, which have business interests in areas of steel making, forging, machining, etc.
