Wonderla Holidays to open its third amusement park at Hyderabad

Wonderla Holidays is all set to open its third amusement park at Hyderabad with an investment of Rs 250 crore. The park will be thrown open to public in the third week of April. The park will have 43 land and water based rides and will have the capacity to accommodate 10,000 people. The management on 22nd March announced that the soft-launch will happen on April 2, 2016.

In the next one year, the company will also add three more new attractions including India's first space theme flying theatre experience. It will be the first park in India with cashless RFID based transactions facility called EZ Pay across the park and the first one that will have the capacity to generate over 1mw of solar power. The company currently owns and operates two amusement parks in Kochi and Bangalore and a resort at Bangalore.

Wonderla Holidays is one of the largest operators of amusement parks in India. The company also owns and operates a resort beside its amusement park in Bangalore under the brand name ‘Wonderla Resort’ which has been operational since March 2012.
