Tata Power SED inks MoU with Cranfield University

Tata Power’s Strategic Engineering Division (Tata Power SED) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cranfield University. The MoU sets out the intent of the organisations to explore the possibility of entering into a strategic partnership through research and development (R&D) and academic study in the areas of defence-related engineering and emerging technologies interalia in the areas of systems engineering including large system of systems and MoDAF for software systems, guns, military vehicles (including tracked) for both combat and launcher vehicles, GVA (generic vehicle architecture), and weapon systems.

Tata Power is India’s largest integrated power company with a growing international presence. The company together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has an installed gross generation capacity of [9100] MW and a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Fuel Security and Logistics, Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
