Ceat surges on commissioning its green-field unit at Nagpur plant

Ceat is currently trading at Rs. 1062.20, up by 18.95 points or 1.82% from its previous closing of Rs. 1043.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1056.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1068.30 and Rs. 1054.55 respectively. So far 5647 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1318.30 on 07-Oct-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 596.70 on 09-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1075.00 and Rs. 1036.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4219.96 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.76% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.33% and 15.91% respectively.

Ceat has commissioned, its green-field unit, situated at Buti Bori, near Nagpur in state of Maharashtra, with effect from March 28, 2016, which has resulted in addition of 15 MT per day in the installed capacity of Nagpur plant. The full expansion project of 120 MT per day is however expected to be commissioned, in phases, by end of FY 2017-18.

Ceat is among the best tyre manufacturers in India. It manufactures a wide range of tyres for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, tractors and tippers and trucks. Besides tyres, the company also manufactures and markets tubes and flaps.
