Government to infuse capital funds of Rs 220 crore in Vijaya Bank

The Government of India (GoI) has decided to infuse capital funds to the tune of Rs 220 crore in Vijaya Bank by way of preferential allotment of equity in favour of GoI as part of capital infusion for the Financial Year 2015-16. The bank at its board meeting held on March 29, 2016 has accorded approval for the same.

Vijaya Bank offers various products and services specific to various segments such as it has saving accounts for children, scheme for women clientele, credit facilities to minority communities like Zoroastrians, Buddhists are among others.
