Power Grid spurts on commissioning transmission projects worth Rs 30,300 crore in FY 2015-16

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs 138.80, up by 0.45 points or 0.33% from its previous closing of Rs 138.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 137.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 140.10 and Rs. 137.50 respectively. So far 115028 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 155.70 on 13-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 120.75 on 10-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 141.00 and Rs. 136.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 72666.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.90% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.82% and 7.29% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has commissioned transmission projects worth Rs 30,300 crore (unaudited) in Financial Year 2015-16. The company had last month received an approval for transfer of entire equity held by it in Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO) to the Government of India (GoI) at the agreed purchase consideration.

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
